ALLNUTRITION SODIUM BUTYRATE SR is food for special medical purposes in the form of prolonged-release capsules, which are a source of butyric acid, which is the basic energy material for the gastrointestinal epithelium.

The preparation is intended for dietary management of irritable bowel syndrome, intestinal flora disorders and intestinal infections, inflammatory diseases of the intestinal mucosa, and functional gastrointestinal disorders (chronic constipation, flatulence, abdominal pain, diarrhea and indigestion).

The daily portion provides as much as 600 mg of butyric acid, which has anti-inflammatory properties and supports the functioning of the digestive system.

THE ROLE OF BUTARY ACID
The main effect of butyric acid is based on its anti-inflammatory effect, which is due to its ability to inhibit the secretion of inflammatory mediators in the intestinal mucosa. Additionally, butyric acid is the main energy substance for the cells of the large intestine (colonocytes), nourishes them and ensures proper functioning. Moreover, it reduces the risk of leakage of the intestinal barrier, which reduces allergies and inflammation.

The use of innovative microencapsulation technology, unlike ordinary forms of butyric acid, protects against absorption in the upper gastrointestinal tract, which allows the active ingredient to be delivered to the small and large intestines. The release process therefore takes place along the entire length of the intestine.

What are micropellets?
Micropellets are small microparticles "closed" in a capsule.
